Teeth Whitening

Teeth naturally lose their brightness over time. Whether the cause is from the foods we enjoy, medication, and lifestyle habits, it’s unavoidable. Stains and discoloration is one of the most common reasons our patients are self-conscious of their smile. With our professional teeth whitening treatment, your teeth can get up to 10 shades lighter in a single visit.

Teeth Whitening is also one of the most cost-effective cosmetic dental treatments available for someone who wants a quick and easy way to improve their smile. We provide two types of affordable teeth whitening including custom take-home whitening trays and in-office treatments.

In-Office Laser Whitening

In-office teeth whitening is the preferred method if you’re looking for faster and more dramatic results. A whitening product containing hydrogen peroxide is applied directly to the teeth. This solution works to remove both surface and deep stains. A special light is then used to activate the bleaching gel, ensuring optimal results.

At-home Treatment

Our custom whitening trays are a more gradual alternative that can be done in the convenience of your own home. We will take an impression of your teeth and create custom-fitted trays to fit perfectly over your teeth and keep the professional strength whitening gel in place. Our at-home teeth whitening kit is easy to use, and you can see improvements within 2 weeks.

Bonding

Tooth bonding is ideal for patients who have discolored, cracked, chipped, stained, misshapen, or gaps between teeth. Cosmetic bonding is an affordable and versatile procedure that involves applying a tooth-colored composite resin material to the surface of a tooth and molding it to match the surrounding teeth. A special curing light is then used to harden the resin and the tooth is further shaped and polished, resulting in a truly natural-looking smile. Just the same as the rest of your teeth, bonded teeth should be brushed and flossed daily and professionally cleaned at the dental office twice per year. Not only can bonding improve the health and structure of your teeth, it’s the ideal solution for fixing small cosmetic imperfections in your smile.

Porcelain Veneers

Dental veneers are customized, thin porcelain “shells” that are permanently bonded to the front surface of a tooth. The thin ceramic layers essentially replace part of the tooth enamel, masking minor cosmetic imperfections of teeth that are in overall good health, but need just a little help in restoring in the color, shape, size, or position of the teeth. Veneers can be used to address a wide range of your dental issues including: alignment issues and gaps, deep stains, cosmetic imperfections, or misshapen teeth.

What to Expect

Dr. George will first examine your teeth, and discuss your smile goals, to help you determine if cosmetic dentistry is right for you. The procedure begins by gently removing a very thin layer of the tooth’s enamel to allow for the small added thickness of the veneer. Depending on the shape and size of your natural tooth, Dr. George may need to do some reshaping so the veneer will fit more easily. Next, we will take an impression of your teeth and send it to the lab to have your customized veneers crafted. Then a temporary veneer will be placed over your tooth until your permanent veneer is ready. In about 2 weeks when your veneer will be ready, you will return to the office and we will skillfully place and secure your veneer to create a seamless, beautiful smile.
